| Okay,
Ripped Fuel might be a little different than other ECA stack fat
burners, but not by much - it just doesn't have the "A"
or aspirin component, or as you might read on the labels "willow
bark". Other than that, there's nothing too special about Ripped
Fuel. However, Twin Lab Ripped Fuel Extreme has a very different
formula. Yes, we're talking about 2 different Ripped Fuel products
right now: Ripped Fuel and Ripped Fuel Extreme.

Twin Lab Ripped Fuel Information
Below is a quick list of Ripped Fuel
ingredients:
Two capsules provide:
MaHuang Extract: 334mg
Guarana Extract: 910mg
L-Carnitine: 100mg
Chromium: 200mcg
Other Ingredients: Gelatin, Cellulose,
Purified Water, MCT, Sillica, Magnesium Stearate.
Nothing special, really. You have
the standard Ma Huang (ephedrine), and Guarana (caffeine) - both
of which are stimulants that can increase your heart beat, metabolism,
energy, thus helping you burn fat - otherwise known as thermogenics.
Twinlab's Ripped Fuel is very much based on the ECA (ephedrine,
caffeine, and aspirin) stack, except without the aspirin. Ripped
Fuel Extreme is quite different. Let's take a look.
Twinlab Ripped Fuel Extreme Review
Similar to Ripped Fuel, Ripped Fuel
Extreme is also based on the ECA stack containing Mahuang, Guarana,
and Willow Bark; however, it also contains two other very interesting
ingredients: Coleus Forskohili and Citrus Aurantium. Here's what's
in Ripped Fuel Extreme:
Serving Size (caps) 2
Servings Per Bottle 60
Coleus Forskohili 166mg
guarana 200mg
mahuang 20mg
citrus aurantium 5mg
Ingredients: Citrus Bioflavonoid
Complex, Green Tea Leaf Extract, Ginger Root, White Willow Bark
Extract, Cayenne Fruit.
Coleus Forskohili
- this is a herb that's been used in Indian medicine for centuries.
It's mainly used to relax the airways in your lungs to help breathing.
It also elevates cAMP (cyclic adenosine monophosphate) levels, which
regulate active enzymes required for cellular energy transfer. It
also helps lower blood pressure.
Citrus aurantium
- also known as bitter orange, Citrus has been used in Chinese medicine
to treat chest congestion. Citrus aurantium has a rare combination
of 5 amines: synephrine, N-methyltyramine, hordenine, octopamine,
and tyramine, which "stimulates beta-3 cell receptors"
that could lead to increase in your metabolic rate without affecting
heart rate or blood pressure.
The added benefit of Citrus aurantium
is this ability to stimulate beta-3 cell receptors, which helps
breakdown fat, increase energy, and increase metabolic rate, hence
making thermogenesis more effective. Studies show that Citrus aurantium
may also act to suppress appetite.
I should point out that the biggest
benefit of Citrus aurantium is that several compound found in Citrus
aurantium are structurally similar to ephedrine and act as stimulants,
but these do not appear to have the same negative side effects of
ephedrine. You will notice that Ripped Fuel Extreme contains only
20mg of Mahuang, while Ripped Fuel contains 334mg of Mahuang.
Citrus aurantium is very much hyped,
alot of how it works are still theories and speculation, and lacks
thorough scientific research. So, as good as it sounds on paper,
keep a skeptical eye open.
If you shop online for ripped fuel
products, you can save a good amount of money over retail prices.
